When the time came to celebrate their ten-year anniversary, Innovate UK chose Cass Productions to produce a corporate anniversary film that would showcase their impact and reinforce their core mission of shaping the future through innovation.
Concept and Creative Direction
The project brief called for a film that was reflective, informative, and emotionally resonant. Working closely with the Innovate UK team, we developed the concept for a documentary-style anniversary film titled “Ten Years of Shaping the Future.”
The film combined a number of creative techniques to deliver its message. We used excerpts from interviews with key innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders whose success had been supported by Innovate UK funding. These personal stories added a powerful human element, allowing audiences to connect with the real-world outcomes of the agency’s work.
We also incorporated striking still photography and moving image projections to build a strong visual identity. These elements were carefully chosen to reflect the themes of progress, collaboration, and future-facing innovation.
Original Music for Emotional Impact
To enhance the emotional tone of the film, we commissioned a bespoke music score. The original composition was tailored to the rhythm and pacing of the visuals, helping to guide the viewer’s experience and reinforce the celebratory, forward-looking mood of the piece.
By combining music, interviews, and stunning visuals, the final film served as a proud reflection of the organisation’s first decade and an inspiring call to continue investing in innovation.
