Kitchen Makeover Video Production for Dream Doors
Cass Productions delivered kitchen makeover video production and photography for Dream Doors, the UK’s leading kitchen makeover company. The project included a main brand advert, a separate customer journey video and a suite of supporting photography designed to show both the transformation of the kitchen and the everyday moments that make it the heart of the home.
Dream Doors specialises in replacing kitchen doors and worktops rather than ripping out the whole room, helping homeowners achieve a fresh new look in as little as 2–3 days and at a significantly lower cost than a full refit. The campaign needed to communicate those practical benefits clearly, while also building warmth, trust and emotional connection with Dream Doors’ audience.
The brief
The brief combined commercial storytelling, lifestyle-led interiors imagery and clear product detail.
For the main advert, the aim was to create a warm, witty and trustworthy piece that showed why a Dream Doors makeover is the smarter choice. The tone needed to feel personable and relatable, while reinforcing the core brand messages around cost savings, speed, convenience and trust.
Alongside the advert, Dream Doors also commissioned a separate customer journey video to show the full process, from showroom visit and in-home consultation through to fitting, sign-off and the final reveal. Together, the two films gave the brand both a hero campaign asset and a more practical piece of content focused on the service experience.
Photography also played an important role across the production. The visuals needed to capture the full kitchen transformation, as well as the details that define quality craftsmanship, including handles, taps, worktops, splashbacks, under-cabinet lighting and storage features.
Our approach
Our approach to this kitchen makeover video production was built around two ideas: showing the quality of the finished kitchen, and showing how that transformation fits into real everyday life.
The creative direction called for imagery that felt bright, authentic and natural. These were not meant to be spaces styled beyond recognition. The kitchens needed to feel lived in, welcoming and aspirational, without losing credibility. We used natural light where possible, shaped interior lighting carefully, and avoided harsh flash in order to keep the visuals soft, warm and believable.
We also focused on candid family interaction within the finished space. Moments like baking, making tea, chatting around the table and browsing the Dream Doors website helped root the campaign in real domestic life. That balance between polished interiors and human-centred storytelling was key to making the content feel both premium and relatable.
As part of the process we handled the full production including scriptwriting, casting, set dressing, filming, photography and editing.
The main advert
The main advert was designed to build emotional connection while landing Dream Doors’ key selling points in a memorable way.
We created visuals that showed the kitchen as more than a fitted product. It was a place for family, conversation and everyday routine. Alongside wide reveal shots of the transformed kitchen, we captured detail-led cutaways of worktops, taps, handles, appliances, lighting and storage, helping the advert communicate the value and finish of the makeover.
The finished film supported Dream Doors’ wider campaign messaging around saving money, reducing disruption and achieving a high-quality transformation without the cost of a brand new fitted kitchen.
The customer journey video
Alongside the advert, we also produced a separate customer journey video showing the end-to-end Dream Doors experience.
This film covered the full process, including the first contact at home, sample selection, measuring, showroom interaction, fitting in progress and final handover. By documenting each stage clearly, the customer journey video helped position Dream Doors as a professional, trusted and approachable service-led brand.
From an editorial point of view, this gave the campaign a second layer. While the advert focused on emotional appeal and brand impact, the customer journey video demonstrated reassurance, process and practical value.
Photography and transformation content
Photography was captured alongside the video production to give Dream Doors a flexible library of campaign assets for wider use.
This included matched before-and-after kitchen shots, in-progress installation imagery, lifestyle moments with talent, and detailed interiors photography showing finishes, fixtures and craftsmanship. We also documented fitters at work, product features in use, and final reveal moments that helped support both advertising and customer journey content.
By integrating stills and motion within the same production, Dream Doors received a joined-up content package that could be used across website, digital, social and campaign materials.
The result
The final delivery gave Dream Doors a strong set of assets built around one clear story: a kitchen makeover can be practical, affordable and emotionally transformative.
Through a combination of kitchen makeover video production, customer journey storytelling and supporting photography, the content showed not just how the kitchen looked, but what it felt like to use it every day. The result was a warm, credible and commercially effective campaign designed to support brand awareness, engagement and enquiries.
